Episode #3 Saying SORRY All the Time Is Reducing Your Credibility

In this episode, I describe what it looks like when we're apologising all of the time in the workplace (and in our lives), and how this behaviour can negatively impact us and cause us to miss out on career opportunities.

After describing what saying SORRY all the time looks like and sharing a little about my own experiences with it, I provide listeners with five tried and true tips sure to curb this habitual behaviour.

  1. Create awareness around the habit of saying sorry.
  2. Swap out "sorry" for "thank you!"
  3. Remember that you are paid to have an opinion on things, so start owning yours more.
  4. Measure the themes of when this need to apologise comes up in your life.
  5. Dig a little deeper into why you apologise so regularly.

If you follow these five tips, you'll find yourself curbing this habit and showing up with more confidence and authority, which can really pay off!
